Communicating the human form and figure is so much more than gaining a likeness; it's also about communicating the essence of the person I am painting or drawing. I am endlessly fascinated by the complexities that each of us reflect, and enjoy peeling back the layers with brush or pencil to reveal an essence that captivates the viewer.
